Autodesk Mapguide: Features & Specifications

Enhanced Support for DWG Format
Create layers of a particular geometry type (points, polylines, polygons) directly from a DWG file; no need to convert to SDF format. You can even create theme maps with object data or link templates as the attribute data source.

Support for DWF Format
Create layers from Autodesk DWF files- the premier exchange format for rich design data- that were created in Autodesk Map software or other Autodesk® products supporting DWF. Use Autodesk® DWF Writer software to capture Autodesk MapGuide screen shots inside DWF files and distribute them using the free Autodesk® DWF Viewer.

Enhanced Layer Functionality
Fully use the power of the RDBMS (Relational Database Management System) to disable, increase, and decrease spatial filtering; apply a geometry function to a selected geometry column; and execute SQL statements before and after the execution of the spatial query.

Now Built In: WMS Support
Autodesk MapGuide customers can now easily share spatial data using the Open GIS Consortium (OGC) Web Map Service (WMS) 1.1.1 Implementation Specification for data exchange. This capability was formerly available only with a WMS extension product.

Buzzsaw Integration
Store documents and interactive Autodesk MapGuide applications in the Autodesk® Buzzsaw® project management and collaboration workspace (www.autodesk.com/buzzsaw), then associate them with Autodesk MapGuide features to access information in a relevant context not previously possible with other software.

Mobile Device Support
Offers point-of-activity access to interactive maps, designs, and relevant data to anyone, anywhere. Support for Autodesk® OnSite Enterprise enables users of mobile and handheld devices (Win CE) to access interactive maps and other data.

Data Interoperability
Support for integrating and accessing all major GIS and CAD data formats: ESRI® SHP and coverages, MicroStation® DGN, MapInfo® Interchange File, Atlas BNA, comma-separated files (CSV), Autodesk DWG, and more. Also supports most relational databases via OLE DB and ODBC, including Oracle, SQL Server, Microsoft® Access, dBASE, and more.

Autodesk MapGuide LiteView
Ensures that designs and maps can be made available to any user, on any platform. Speeds access to information through interactive raster images (PNG format).

Expanded Raster File Support
Makes your existing raster data more valuable through better interoperability with your applications and support for new industry standards. Printing Flexibility

Printing Flexibility
Maps and drawings appear online exactly as they do in your creation system, as users expect to see them.
