Land Use and Land Cover (LULC) vector data consists of land classifications that were based primarily from manual interpretation of 1970's and 1980's aerial photography. Secondary sources included land use maps and surveys. There are 37 possible categories of cover type using the Anderson level II classification system.

LULC data is available for the conterminous U.S. and Hawaii. Not including Alaska.

MapMart sells this Vector data in the following formats: MapInfo .TAB and ESRI Shape. Both data formats are Available for Immediate Download upon submittal of credit card with the data being cut to your exact project area. Projections available are UTM, State Plane and Geographic in either NAD 27 or 83 or WGS-84.
