Each 2°x1° DEM quad covers an approximate area of 108 x 70 miles.

Digital Elevation Models are digital files consisting of points of elevations at equally spaced intervals. The 2 ° X 1 ° DEMs are sampled every 3 Arc Seconds (264 ft - 300 ft). These DEMs are available in: Arc ASCII Grid, Vertical Mapper, DXF Mesh, USGS DEM, ASCII, GeoTIFF and Surfer Grid.

The default projection for these DEMs is Latitude/Longitude NAD 27 projection, coordinates being in decimal degrees. However, different projections are available upon request for an extra $4 per quad. Elevations are in feet.
