Describe your company's culture in a sentence: We're excited about providing cutting-edge mapping, data and aerial imagery and services for a wide range of industries; working with people from across the USA and the world makes for an exciting day at the office. The MapMart family works together to provide quality services while enjoying each other's company at an annual "old-fashioned" company picnic and Christmas party!
How did the company choose its name? It was clear to the management of our company that the Internet was going to be a powerful marketing and distribution tool for our industry. In 1997 MapMart was created and has become the primary driving initiative at IntraSearch, Inc., our parent company. The name was chosen to better communicate the broad availability of mapping, photography and related products and services that we offer for Colorado, The United States and the World.
What nonwork-related achievement is the company most proud of? We generate a lot of interest from school groups and organizations (such as the Boy Scouts) who are interested in touring our offices to learn about mapping and aerial photography. It's a great feeling to share our industry with the zeal and excitement of curious, young people!
What TV sitcom does your office most resemble? Ally McBeal (adventure, intrigue and team driven excitement!)
What is the most embarrassing moment your company has had? We were working for the Peruvian Air force and told them that we needed to be paid in cash (meaning a check). A few weeks later a Peruvian officer arrived at our office with a suitcase of cash.
What are the most popular amenities you offer employees? Flexible schedules, homemade pies at Thanksgiving and Christmas and Krispy Kreme Days!
Cite an unusual fact that few people outside the company know about: We possess one of the world's largest privately own aerial film libraries.
Employees' consensus favorite ski area in Colorado: Keystone, Copper, MJ
Best thing about doing business in Colorado: A healthy and thriving working economy rich with people who are used to success.
