Position Description: The candidate will be responsible for developing Internet and Client/Server geographical Information Systems (GIS) applications in a team environment.
Required Skills:
- Must have programming experience in MapInfo products such as MapXtreme, Routing J server & Mapmarker and/or ESRI technologies
- Advanced understanding of GIS programming, geographic concepts and GIS datasets
- Programming languages :
- ASP.Net
- Visual Basic.Net
- ASP and other scripting languages
- Programming environment: Visual Studio .Net
- Database environments SQL Server, Oracle 9i, Access, XML
- Basic knowledge of Windows 2000/2003, WIN-XP, networking, active directory, DNS, and DHCP
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Exposure to open source and JAVA technologies
Education/experience:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in computer science or GIS related filed
- 1 to 2 years experience in GIS application development
